The English-Language Polish TV Channel TVP World Was Added to the Estonian Free-to-Air Channels

From Tuesday, June 28th, the English-language channel TVP World of the Polish public television company Telewizja Polska (TVP) will be broadcast in Estonia.
“It is a great pleasure to see that another international news and information channel is being added to free-to-air broadcasting, which will enrich the choices of free-to-air TV viewers,” said Veiko Sepp, a Member of the Management Board of Levira.
“Polish Television (TVP – Polish Public Television) continues its activities aimed at spreading the truth about world events, which is reflected in the launch of TVP World on terrestrial television in Estonia. Thanks to this, viewers in Estonia will be able to get to know the Polish and regional point of view on the most important events from the Three Seas area as well as other parts of the world, with care for compliance with reality and historical truth.” – says Mateusz Matyszkowicz, member of the management board of TVP.
TVP World is TVP’s international information and news channel. TVP World reflects current world issues from a Polish perspective. In addition to news, TVP World has programs on society, politics, economics, history, and sports.
In Estonia, TVP World can be seen on free-to-air (FTA) throughout Estonia and is number 10 on the list of channels.
Currently, the channels ETV, ETV2, ETV+, Current Time (Настоящее Время), Ukraina24, and France 24 can be watched on FTA broadcasting. As a HbbTV solution, the Estonian National Broadcasting’s VOD channel Jupiter is available on FTA.
According to a recent survey by Turu-Uuringute AS, there are 208,000 viewers of free-to-air broadcasting in Estonia. Of these, 122,000 are viewers of the newer, HD format. Vabalevi FTA service covers the entire territory of Estonia and is the most effective method of delivering television images.
